July 2024 Bali helicopter crash, two Australian tourists were on board

On 19 July 2024, a helicopter crashed in Bali, Indonesia. The helicopter was carrying tourists on a sightseeing tour when it crashed.
The helicopter crashed because it got entangled by a kite string. It is common in Bali for people to fly kites, especially during the windy season. The kite string got caught in the helicopter's rotor blades, causing the helicopter to crash. It crashed in Kuta, a popular tourist area in Bali.
The helicopter carried 5 people including the pilot and the crew. Based on various sources, it is said two of the passengers were Australian tourists. Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the crash. Three of the passengers were carried to the hospital with ambulance.
This incident has been evaluated by the official authorities, and flying kites policy is being reviewed.
